The desktop app sits between the physical microphone and the meeting software. You choose the Kleervox virtual microphone once in the call app; the cleaned signal then follows the same path as any normal microphone.

Noise cancellation and echo cancellation solve different problems

A fan or keyboard is background noise. A remote participant’s voice playing through your speakers and returning through your mic is acoustic echo. Removing only background noise does not reliably remove that echoed voice, because it is still speech.

Kleervox keeps the controls independent: noise cancellation can be turned off to save processing while echo cancellation remains available where the platform supports it.
